12 Very Inspiring Blgogers

I was rewarded the Very Inspiring Bloggers Board award few weeks ago,  and since I’ve accepted it, it’s my turn to give back to 12 inspiring bloggers, and to tell you 7 things you (didn’t know) about me.

Don’t worry, you don’t have to accept his award. I won’t take it personally.

I wasn’t sure in which one of the three categories of my blog I should post this, but since yesterday I was without power for the better part of the day, I kind of got behind with my scheduled post.

So I thought that this was the perfect time to take my turn to spread this award that I received and give back.

 

It happens that Lorraine Reguly from Wording Well mentioned me as one of the bloggers who has inspired her.

As Lorraine said in her own awarding post, rewards may not mean much for seasoned bloggers, (but frankly, it should, as no one should think so much of themselves).

Rewards and recognition are ALWAYS good in my book.

So, I accepted that reward which meant that I had to follow the rules, and in turn, tell you the rules of this game.

 

If you accept this nomination, you are asked to follow the rules attached to the Very Inspiring Blogger Award wish are the following:

  • Thank the person who nominated you by linking to his/her blog.
  • Display the award logo somewhere in your acceptance post (right-click and save it to your computer, then upload it to your blog).
  • Reveal 7 things about yourself.
  • Pass on the award to others by nominating 12 people, linking to them within your post, and then notifying them about their nominations (which can be done through email, a blog comment, or social media).

By the way, since I’ve receive a similar award a two and half years ago, from Harleena Singh, so I’m going to mention different bloggers than I did then.

And since Lorraine mentioned my as a former actress, I thought that it would be fun to mention 7 things around that part of my life.

 

7 Things From Former Actress Sylviane Nuccio

  1. I was once in the arms of one of the most famous French actor (of his days and until now) If you’re not from a European country, you may not know his name, but if you are, I’m sure that  Jean-Paul Belmondo will be very familiar to you.
  2.  I was once in an elevator with Tom Cruise. It was in New York in 1994.
  3.  I was in the acting business for 9 years of my life. From 1986-1995. I was in several plays. I appeared in one movie, and did two commercials. The movie and commercials were  in Paris, France. The plays were in both in Paris and New York.
  4.  I’ve got to make up with a handful of handsome unknown actors for acting purposes.
  5.  I’ve worked with two very famous French actors, Michel Galabru and Bernadette Lafont, between the late 1980’s and early 1990’s.
  6.  I’ve worked with several less popular, yet known and working actors over my acting years. I still get to see them once in a while when I watch French movies.
  7. I belonged to an Off-Off bilingual Broadway theater in New York City in the early 1990’s.

There you have it. Some things I don’t really ever tell anyone these days.

    It’s good to be awarded, and I remember that post you mentioned here too – it was a lovely phase, almost like a chain reaction when so many were awarded and we had to pass on the love by paying it forward to others – always good to do that if we can, isn’t it?

    My! My! Being with Tom Cruise – must be an unforgettable moment of your life! Yes, many don’t know that you were an actress too, and I am sure you must be getting offers even now, don’t you?

      Being in the elevator with Tom Cruise, was great, sure, but not as much as it would have been to some other gals my age, because I had seen many other actors before him, even another American actor, Harrison Ford.

      They just people, you known, not Gods 🙂

      Ah, never got to the point of giving autographs, except on contracts 🙂

      If you do write your post, you can tell any 7 things you may like. The way Lorraine did it was very interesting. She first gave 7 boring things (as she called it) about herself, and then 7 very, very personal ones about her life that I had no idea about, and wish so inspired me, that she is going to be on this blog soon.

      As you’re saying we have much more in our life than we reveal in our blogs. We meet those people online through blogging, and then we find out the most amazing things about them. You’ve got to love it.

      I know that you’ve written a post about you not long ago, so yes, that’s find if you want to take 7 things from there too.

    Congratulations on such a wonderful achievement that has an interesting followup activity also of not only displaying the award at your blog and but also nominating 12 others to share with them your joy.

    But the most interesting part is obviously asking the receiver to tell seven new things about her and you stunned the readers by revealing some aspects of your life which people or at least your big fans like me never knew before.

    The other day when I told my daughter about your interaction with the Tom Cruise she repeated his name just to confirm if the same actor or someone else that shows the awesomeness of your being with him.

      Ah, I had to laugh when you mentioned the story about your daughter here. So cute. She couldn’t believe it, could she? So funny.

      Actually I’ve met a lot of actors and a couple of singers as well since I was twenty years old until I was almost 30, so truth be told I was kind of used to it. They are very much like “normal” people. Nothing extraordinary about them. Very down to earth for the most part. But I am very glad I was bless to meet some of those people. I do feel privileged for that though, I wouldn’t want to lie about that.

      Yes, I know you know some of those things about me, don’t you? But most people reading my blog don’t actually, so they seem quite surprised.

      True, when I was writing this post and realized that I could have said actually so much more stuff, I though that I had some interesting and unique moments in my life to be sure.

      If only I had known about personal development and had a coach back then, it could have even been so much better, but can’t go back, right? Only can go forward.

      I just have to make sure I’ll create some other amazing moments in my life. Actually I’m sure I will.

      One thing that I really would like to do one day is go to France with you and the other gals that we both know. That would really be a moment for sure 🙂 Maybe it will happen.

    I know we’ve just connected but in the five years that I have blogged, I don’t think I’ve ever felt this connected with a community like I have with Magnet4Blogging and in recent times. It’s amazing, following others, learning from passionate and like minded peeps, and having them come back and check out my blog. I’ve gotten a few business leads from online word of mouth too, which is crazy, but I’m very happy with that.

    What an amazing and interesting life you are living!!! Thank you so much for sharing some of your stories with us!!!! That is so cool to have been in an elevator with Tom Cruise. My all time favorite movie with him will always be Top Gun!

    I grew up wanting to be a fighter pilot and the movie just made the desire that much stronger, lol…

    I saw in your comment about Harrison Ford as well… how cool is that. He’s one of my favorite all time actors!!!!

    1. Hi Don,

      My favorite Tom Cruise movie is the same as yours along with Rain Man. I don’t know how many times I’ve seen those two movies.

      Yes, it was cool to have seen him up close, however, it was way more important to me to have met that French movie star, as I’ve mentioned, because I had such a severe crush on him at the time.

      Yes, I saw Harrison Ford at a newspapers stand in New York. As I was getting a paper, so he was.

      There is a reason why I believe in the law of attraction, you know. When I was in the acting business I kept attracting actors in my vicinity a lot 🙂 It happened quite a few times.

      Now, I guess I have to think about how I can use this for branding, right? Just the fact that you’ve mentioned it proves to me that I was on the right track when I thought about it.

      Unfortunately, most of my pictures are in France, and hopefully not lost, but I’m not sure about that. One of the plays I did, I have bunch of great pictures scenes. I have to try to put my hand on those. I do have one theater picture here on the wall though.

      You’re not only a small piece of the journey, you really helped a lot with your advice and articles as well.

    It’s great to know a little bit about your life like this. I was involved in acting a little while back. Very small roles though. 1 play and 2 movies (just like you). It was fun and it’s something I wouldn’t mind trying again.

    I appreciate bloggers like you and Lorraine for including me in your lists.
    I don’t usually participate in awards, but I feel bad and don’t wish to come off like I think I am better than anyone. I just have been nominated several times now and would keep, in turn, nominating the same people over and over. I guess I don’t meet enough new bloggers on a regular basis, but I think the sentiment at the heart of all this is a wonderful one.

    I’m so jealous you got to see Tom Cruise and I didn’t! LOL

    I have seen Joan Jett, though, up close and personal. 😉 I loved her song, I Love Rock and Roll, and got to see her perform it live in my city. Afterwards, she was in the casino (which hosted the event) and I was close enough grab her butt. (I didn’t.)

    I’ve seen Howie Mandell, too, at our auditorium. Before he was on Deal or No Deal.

    Plus I’ve seen Honeymoon Suite, Prism, and Harlequin. When I saw Harlequin (I loved their song Innocence), I got their autographs and emailed them, too.

    Oh, and I’ve seen a few other bands as well.

    It’s great that you accepted the award, and are passing it along to some of the people in “our group of bloggers” (we are a great bunch!), too.

    I’m nearly done the guest post, by the way. I’ve still yet to cut some of the stuff that is waaaay toooo personal, though. I’ll get it to you next week sometime, okay?
