I had scheduled a whole different post for today, but what Hubpages did to me this past week needed to be revealed to the world.
Ever heard the phrase if it can happen to me it can happen to you?
Late last year I had written a post about Squidoo versus Hubpages, and I was giving you advice about those two article directories based on my experience with them.
I was telling you how I got tired of Squidoo giving me a hard time with my articles on their site, and why I preferred to use Hubpages at the time.
Well, as you know, nothing stays the same in the online world, things change all the time whether you want it or not.
This past week Hubpages stabbed me in the back in a way that I wouldn’t have suspected a reputable article directory such Hubpages ever do . But they did!
Today, to inform you about what happened to me, so you could be on your toes if you have content with them.
How it All Started
I had a total of 12 articles (called hubs) under my real name on Hubpages, and the problem started when I decided to write an article about coaching this past week, but first less rewind a little and start this sad story earlier on, so you would better understand the whole thing.
Few months ago, I wrote an article about the Law of Attraction. A complete out of my head original article that they decided was a duplicate. It wasn’t.
Since I know how hard it is to make those guys understand that something can’t be a duplicate since you know that you’ve written this out of thin air from your own brain, I thought I’d rather take the darn article back and put something else totally different in its place.
So, this past week, I wrote an article about coaching and place it in the spot of the article that they refused to publish under false accusation to start with.
I put a fresh article in that spot, because you can’t delete a hub on Hubpages, so your best bet is to replace any article you can’t publish by another.
That’s what I did this past week.
So, now I’ve fixed the problem (I’m thinking), and I’m all happy and excited waiting for my new article to be approved.
However, day after day, my poor article is still not approved and I’m getting notice after notice in my inbox about other people’s hubs being approved every day. What do those articles have that mine doesn’t? Nothing!
So, I got a bit impatient and sent them an email. I admit I was a little rough in my email which basically said, OK, I didn’t even expected you’d noticed that I placed a completely new article in the spot of the one that you’ve decided was a duplicate, but at this point I just want to know if you’re going to post that article or not?
I clicked sent and forgot about it all for a couple of days until this past Thursday where I decided to Google the phrase “Sylviane Nuccio Hubpages” which would lead me directly to my account without login in and see if my last article was there.
This is how I discovered that they had taken down ALL my hubs (articles). They were not deleted, but they were all disabled. EVERY SINGLE ONE!
Bye bye my how-to’s about freelance writing. Bye bye my article about the danger of bullying, bye bye my cat story (a memorial to my Tony) which had quite a few comments, and so on.
Every single hub had been disabled by Hubpages. I assume by someone who didn’t like my email or maybe who was on her PMS.
I was totally shocked as I had never even thought that an article directory could have a grudge against one single customer. Because, yes, by the way, anyone posting articles on their site is a customer to them, and should be treated as such. They make money thanks to us. That’s why Hubpages actually advertise on places like Problogger to get people to write for them.
Could I Ever Trust Hubpages Again?
Frankly, I was totally shocked by their behavior and couldn’t believe it! Since I wasn’t home when I saw that, I couldn’t wait to get home to remove all my hubs from there. Which I did.
As I mentioned above, you can’t deleted a hub entirely on Hubpages, but you can delete each module one by one, and in place of the title I wrote a big fat “DELETED”.
Today if you’d looked at my account, it’s as if I had never posted a single word there yet. So, on top of entertaining a grudge, looks like Hubpages is also a liar in a way, because, I sure had articles there that were as good as anyone else’s featured there, anyway.
When I was taking off all my hubs I could see a warning highlighted in yellow that said “Warning, this hub might be deleted for suspicious links”. Wow, suspicious links? Are you kidding me? The darn hubs linked only to my blogs and YouTube. What suspicious links? Looks like someone has some serious issues over at Hubpages!
Sad, to say, but you bet I will have some serious trust issue with Hubpages from now on. Looks like they stab you in the back and they lie to cover their tracks.
Why you Need to Beware of Hubpages as well as Other Directories
I know I’ve said that in the past, but this is the perfect time to remind you guys who might trust article directories too much.
Once you post an article on their site, it doesn’t really belong to you anymore, and they control if and when they are going to publish it or taking it off the web.
If they decide that your article is a duplicate, then it is. If they want to be picky and drive you crazy with an article, they can. If they decide that your links are suspicious (even if they’re not), they are. If they want to get back at you because they didn’t like the tone of your email, they can. Don’t ever forget that!
Three Important Lessons to Learn From what Happened to me with Hubpges
Sorry if this post sounds like a big rant, but this is a free country and right now I find Hubpages pretty petty, and I had to tell what they did to me!
Here are three lessons I’ve learned the hard way with Hubpages, and I hope you can learn them too in a much softer way then I did.
Lesson #1 – If they decide that your content is a duplicate, there’s not much you can do to change their mind. They will always be right and you will always be wrong. Do not ever replace an article that they flagged. Just write another brand new article.
Lesson #2 – If you publish an article for a directory, they control the show. You have no say. This goes not only for Hubpages, but all directories.
Lesson #3 – They can shut down your account for no reason at all. Just because they want to. Sad, yes, but so very true. So, make sure you always save all the content that you publish on directories.
What’s the Positive Side of all this?
As a coach I am trained to see the positive side of anything and everything. As a matter of fact, if I didn’t have such training I would have probably been very upset this past Thursday. However, while I was shocked I certainly didn’t let that upset me.
I made sure I took out all my content, and saved it before it all disappeared completely, and I will most definitely re-purpose it somehow. As a matter of fact, I already have some ideas.
In the end I’m not the loser, Hubpages is. They will be missing on quality original content that they are begging for on their advertisements. If they don’t watch their act, they may be losing out in the end, no matter how big they think they are. They need people to write for them!
So, that’s all for today’s big rant, but it needed to be said. This is the beauty of blogging. I am the writer, the editor and the publisher and I say what I want to say!
Now, it’s you’re turn to say what you have to say about this. We’re listening…
All the fear of duplicate content was created by Google and their algorithm changes last year. It’s too bad it has become so challenging just to submit a post to an article directory. I have spent the better part of a month writing for different blogs like Squidoo, HubPages, Ezine articles and so on for the experience and of course to get some new faces to my blog.
They are just being prudent I guess, but they could be a little more friendly when dealing with people.
Justin invites you to read..Change Your Life – Change Your Destiny
Hi Justin,
Well, if they wanted to be prudent they should have never published them months ago to start with.
Two of my articles were actually getting traffic from search engines. Then, obviously, my kitty and bullying stories were not even remotely close duplicate, would they?
This is not being prudent, I call this being stupid, and not doing good business. My articles were all high quality and unique, linking to a very minimum of times to only two sites, mine and YouTube.
I don’t know how better than that my hubs could have been!
Make sure you watch them as you spend your time there.
Thanks for your feedback, Justin 🙂
They have a small staff of members who accept and decline articles. Maybe you could try writing up a small email to one of the head staff and see if you get a reply. It seems to me they hired a really hateful person who doesn’t know the meaning of customer relations. The type of marketing I pursue much anymore is writing purely on my site, while primarily leveraging other community sites & similar sites with high traffic. Setting up a basic profile and establishing connections with people can be a smart way to advertise your site, instead of so much writing or blogging for them. This is called guerilla marketing I believe.
I’m sorry to hear this. You don’t deserve to be treated like this. I’ve heard Squidoo has there own problems with how they’ve been known to delete people’s articles based on a Google update & how they’re fixed in a way to be more of a bridge page than anything. Social marketing, leveraging communities related to your niche, and PPC advertising are becoming much more favorable for me. Anyway, take care.
Seth
Hi Seth,
Yes, I know they have a small staff, and yes it seems that someone there has a bit of a temper issue.
It was so obvious to me that they disabled all my hubs after my email. How crazy is that?
I’ve slowed down on the time I’m spending on article directories big time, but I guess that after that it will go down to probably nothing and I will find other ways to spread my wings.
Thanks for coming, Seth.
This had happened to me as well when I published a review of a directory that they liked and one day got 300 emails that they have been disabled my hubs. Every single one of them even the ones that were excellent by all standards. I did manage to get many of them back but there are many that I have not pulled down. I am going to remove some of them and publish them elsewhere. I suggest you leave them there on HP so that search engines de-index them then republish them on your site.
Now I hardly publish anything on that site.
Shalu Sharma invites you to read..Fiverr Gig Ideas
Hi Shalu,
I guess you’re another victim of Hubpages, Huh?
Looks like I’m going to have a lot of comments like this, so this post will be such a great reference for people to be able to find through search engine (I’m hoping when they’ll be asking the question).
I don’t even think that high standard articles even count to them when they dediced that they don’t want your hubs for one reason or another.
Thank you for sharing your story and add to the value of this post.
Hey Sylviane, I am so sorry to hear about your Hub-pages experience, but know that you are not alone. 2 years ago, I lost over 300 hubs ( 2 and a half years of very hard work, not only writing but engaging every day on their site) their reason was changing their guidelines. Because my site captured email adresses and had promotions for Clickbank products ( okay, so what sites ARENT capturing leads?)
I understand they are trying to cut down on spam, but to throw you out for “spam” when you spent 2 years really engaging in their community and building real relationships, thats NOT spam. they were all high quality originals that I did myself.
Now days, I don’t use any article directories. Instead, I use a combination of file sharing sites, social media, guest posting, and video, and audio sites.
But, a real lesson here is that the sites we use to syndicate our content own that content, and can do whatever they want with it once we post it to their site. This isn’t just about Hub-pages. any site you use can delete anything on their site at any time for any reason or no reason at all. It is their site!
this makes it harder for us, but we will find a way to keep things moving forward.
Sorry for your trouble. keep repurposing, and you will find a way to keep it going.
James Pruitt invites you to read..Spamming Versus Relationships
Hi James,
I really appreciate how you rushed to this post:) I agree 100% with the fact that it’s not only Hubpages and that any directory can do whatever they want with your content. Yes, it’s their site, and that’s one of the points that I included at the end of my post.
I can only imaging losing 300 hubs and such a long time of work. This only goes to show you that they have no respect for their users what so ever, and that’s really sad.
I wonder if anyone will be using article directories 5 years from now.
I am definitely going to re-purpose those articles, and they’ll be live somewhere again!
Thanks for coming and sharing this with us.
Sorry to hear about this, yet I’m not surprised.
I gave up on HubPages a while back having never really seen much success there anyway.
I’m a big proponent of using my OWN web real estate, but know how hard it is to rank a site against the big boys.
With the changes at Squidoo currently, similar “rants” are going on about them.
One argument I keep hearing is “it’s their site”. Yep, but without US their site is an empty wall.
These companies want impeccable content out of us, pay us a pittance, then treat us like criminals. There needs to be an opportunity for 1 on 1 dialogue when issues occur (have they never used CopyScape? – if it’s duplicate content, they should send you the link; heck, maybe someone scraped it off of HubPages and re-posted it as their own)
Best,
Roger.

Hi Roger,
How have you been?
I agree with you. Yes, we know it’s their site, but they sure don’t write for it themselves do they? So, they need us.
Like I mentioned in this post, you can see Hubpages’ ads telling us to post on their site, so my guess is that they still need writers don’t they? Yet, as you said, they treat us like animals and it’s impossible to reson with them.
You know the saying:”what goes around comes around”. One day they may be regretting what they’re doing now.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I appreciate that!
Hi Sylviane,
Sorry this happened to you. I know you are an ethical person and do write original content all the time. You are a gal that plays by the rules. That is your nature. Having this happen to you is yet another example of companies out there that can shut you down on a whim.
Remember Facebook slaps, now Google is driving people nuts with the new Panda? The list goes on and on.
Lesson learned: The only thing you can rely on is your blog because it is your own real estate! From there, your email list whereby you can make relationships with more people.
As internet trends can “stab us in the back” we must be aware of that.
Emotionally, it does take it’s toll. Especially if it is a person like you, giving your all and then someone decides to screw it all up. It is like the feeling of being violated. I know, stuff happened to me too. That first feeling hurts, but then we apply our techniques to overcome it.
It is like a stab and our first response to it is “ouch” …. It is a good thing you have the tools inside you to overcome it, use it as an experience and a higher purpose.

Hi Donna,
Yes, I sure write only original content. Darn I’ve never even used those PLR’s and other stuff that people used to use left and right in the old days. I’ve never needed that, because I just can write just about anything at any time! 🙂
However, those people don’t even appreciate that at all!
Yes, it did shock me, but I wasn’t nearly as hurt as I would have been in the past, I was just so glad I didn’t waste more time with them. Thank Goodness!
Thanks for coming, Donna and for sharing your thoughts with us.
Oh, Sylviane – what a terrible experience. My heart goes out to you. I really admire you for writing about it like this, to warn other bloggers, and also for your positive attitude in your determination not to let this set-back get you down.
I find it very distressing when the unelected Lords of the Internet slam down perfectly honest, law-abiding folk due to a false perception that they’ve broken the rules. It’s tyrannical, summary justice of the kind that just wouldn’t be tolerated in any civilized society outside cyberspace. Sadly, there seems to be no effective rule of law here to protect us from this kind of thing.
I haven’t used Hubpages yet, so I’m very grateful to you for highlighting this potential landmine. As Donna says, the only really secure property you have online is your own self-hosted blog.
I hope someone at Hubpages reads this blog post and sees the comments from your readers, who know you’re the last person to start putting out duplicate content.
You sure didn’t deserve this, Sylviane – I hope you can turn the experience into something positive,
Take care – and thanks, again, for this valuable, if painful, share,
Sue
Sue Neal invites you to read..A Killer Strategy to Increase Productivity AND Keep You Fit
Hi Sue,
Thanks for you kind words.
Thankfully, nowadays, I do not let things affect me nearly as much as I used to. In the old days, 12 articles taken off the cyberspace would have totally depressed me to no end, especially knowing that I had not deserved it, but today, I can’t even be bothered with this.
I was still made enough to tell on them in 1300 words or so. I sure hope they read it, but if they do I might never know about it.
I also wanted to warn people, so they would know what could happen, and be prepared and not too disappointed if it does. It actually happened to two people who commented above, and you can only imaging how many more.
Thanks for your visit and input, Sue 🙂
Dang Sylviane, you too!
Girl, this use to happen to me all the time with them which is why I quit writing over there as well as the article directories. ALL of my content is original yet I would have some of the same issues with them.
I feel your pain and I have 63 hubs that I haven’t been back to in years.
Sorry you’re having to deal with this now. I feel your pain girl but moving on, you’ll just find better places and ways to share your content. That I don’t doubt at all.

Hi Adrienne,
That’s right, I remember now you telling me how much headache you had with them, I had forgotten.
They had never given me any trouble before, expect for this accusation of a duplicate article few month ago, but that’s really my email that set them off, and that is very shocking in my book and it makes you think, as Seth was saying, is there a hateful person there?
So weird, anyway! Hum I don’t like your email, let me shut down all your hubs! unheard of!
Thanks for coming and have a great week, Adrienne!
Gosh Sylviane, it sucks to have had this happen to you and even more sad that other great bloggers like Adrienne have had this happen to them too. Sounds to me like someone took advantage of the title next to their name and decided to take matters into their own hands. Sad and yep, petty.
Thanks for your heads up about them. People need to know how they practice their business. Eventually word will get out and it will start to have a negative impact on their reputation, if it hasn’t already since I’m sure others have voiced their bad experiences with Hubpages.

Thanks for your feedback on this 🙂
Hi Sylviane
I am so sorry to hear this knowing how ethical you are. I have never been drawn to article marketing really and reading this and some of the comments I am glad. That must have been so tough for you. It is good you have your understanding and can take the lessons.

Hi Sue,
It used to be a time where article directories were great, then because it was so great, people took way to much advantage of them, and now they’ve become a real pain in the butt.
I’m OK, I don’t even care anymore and I am going to re-purpose those articles as pages on my blogs I think.
I bet you’re not too motivated to waste your time with article directories for sure, and who would blame you 🙂
Hi Sylviane,
Its quite unfortunate that Hubpages can also indulge in such a barbaric act.
I had a similar experience with Ezine Articles before, i published an article i wrote myself and the tagged it as a duplicate content, i simply stopped going there and that also caused me to stop visiting any other directory for that.
But just like you said, you’re not the looser, they are.
Life goes on dear.
Thanks for sharing.

I’m glad you’ve got your own lessons as well 🙂
Thanks for coming.
Sylviane, I feel your frustration. I have had an account with hubpages and squidloo , but I have never been a regular poster.
I also belong to ezinearticles and I stopped posting to their site because they were so particular about their regulations.
I hated doing the work twice only to have it rejected so that made more work and I was not getting any revenue from them.
So getting back to hubpages, I do not know enough about their process however, in general I hate extra work.
Michael Belk invites you to read..Marketing ethics and social responsibility with Darren Rowse.
Hi Michael,
I totally understand that. Who wants to double the work, and yet, see himself rejected?
I am like you, I have dropped using all the article directories I have used in the past (and I’ve used a lot of them). Hubpages was the last one. I don’t think they’re worth it anymore.
Thanks for coming and for your feedback.
Hi Sylviane,
Gosh… They just don’t go through hubs before disable ’em? Or may be someone reported you having duplicate content?
I can’t believe sometimes why abusers remain and those who follow the rules get the sack. Ugh… That’s not a good news and I’m sorry about you being through this Sylviane. May be another email will help you?
I think this incident will help you to be centralized with your blogs as a blogger and why depend on someone who doesn’t know how to manage relationships? Anyway, I’m not much familiar with Hubpage and tend to be away from directories 🙂
Have a pleasant week Sylviane 🙂
Cheers…

Hi Mayura,
Don’t worry, I’m OK. The reasons why I’ve been using Hubpages recently was to spread my wings and create backlinks to my blogs. Those were the reasons, but it’s not the end of the world if that’s not going to happen, because I have other ideas anyway.
I don’t blame you from staying away from directories these days. Dont’ bother with them if you don’t need to.
Thanks for coming and have a good rest of the week 🙂
Hi Sylviane,
Sorry this happened to you. I really thank you for writing this post as I was considering signing up for some article directories but I am glad I read this before I go ahead. It seems like it is not worth it.
Great lessons are learned from this experience and I really like your positive attitude and that you always look for the positive side of anything and everything as you said. I am glad you didn’t let it upset you and you are still the lovely smiley Sylviane.
Thanks Sylviane for sharing your experience with us. I hope you have a great week ahead.

Hi Neamat,
Well, yes, that’s why I wrote this, to warn people. People can still try, if they want, but they won’t be too surprised if something like this happen to them.
With this post I’m finding out that they’ve done it before, so chances are they’ll do it again in the future.
If you ever use them or any other directory, just make sure you save your content on your end, so if one day your articles disappeared you still have them to re-purpose them. I’m glad I do 🙂
I’m too old to get upset with this, now, and that’s a good thing 🙂
Thanks for coming, and have a good rest of the week 🙂
I have been burned like this with blogger, well kinda like this, my content back then was actually duplicate so I got burned, but from then I’m a huge advocate to owning the places where you publish your content.
Hi Liudas,
For sure with duplicate content that’s another story, even though in the old days of internet that was totally acceptable. But no more 🙂
Thanks for coming and welcome.
It is an unfortunate aspect that we need them to get our content out to readers so that the readers will visit our sites.
The hope is that we use them and allow us to use us for our content. Then they pull something like this.
Many of us are getting away from the article directories, I for one haven’t used Ezine since the initial Penguin update. Squidoo has also altered their TOS again as well.
Better to write your content on your own real estate and find alternate means to attract your readers.
Sorry you had to go through this. Those of us that write original content are doing so to bring readers and once these directories were a safe place to do this. No longer.
Hi Labman, long time no see. Nice to see you here 🙂
The only reasons I was using them is to have more coverage, and create some backlinks to my blogs, but I can also do well without them.
My content was 100% unique and original and linked to nothing suspicious or promotional or anything like that. They are just nuts, and I don’t need to lose my time with them anymore.
I haven’t posted in any other directory for the longest time as well, I can’t even remember but I think it was in 2011.
Thanks for coming.
Sylviane, Oh my. I am so sorry to hear this. I had a whoops happen to me early on in my blogging and had my wordpress.org blog shut down – right after I had had my business cards printed! Wow, now having your blog shut down that’s much worse. You know, there used to be a time when just about everything was allowed, but those days are over. Now either we are informed or we might get stung. I tell you it’s tough to be online these day 🙂
Thanks for your input, Amy 🙂
Sylvaine,
I can appreciate your feelings and reaction to this siuation that you have experienced with HubPages. No, it’s not happened to me. I have not been writing long enough to feel confident or worthy of providing articles to places like HubPages or even creating articles for other people.
But as far as the disgusting impressions that organizations such as HubPages or even Google for that matter – are leaving with people, it seems to be running rampent.
This “I am holier than thou” attitude that is being adapted by so many groups and organizations on the internet today, seems to becoming common place and is getting old.
I have been running into such a number of scams recently that I’m considering on getting off the internet and begin looking for something else real soon.
Just yesterday, I ran into a company that was offering some software to enhance the speed of your computer and a means to clean up your registry but you had to CALL to confirm your order (yeah right).
When I called, I was told that the “average person should be investing from $300 to $500 at least 3 times a year to “Tune Up” your computer!!!!
Obviously, I am fighting this ordeal but it sure leaves a bad taste in your mouth when there are so many people out there in Cyber Space just looking for your $$$ or talent and then thinking that they can play the role of a king!
But, you are a coach and have a very good attitude about this thing that happened to you and things – as you know – will work out for the best somehow. And as you said they are losing out on your talents and writing. Hopefully, enough other fine writers will hear about this and will pull out too! What goes around comes around!!
Les Wallack invites you to read..Lose 10 pounds in 14 Days! Are you up for it?
Hi Les, and nice to see you here again 🙂
You are right, some of those big internet companies do think that they are holier than thou, but what they don’t realize is that they’re really not and can eventually fall when enough people have dropped them.
Just this post has proved me that quite a few people have dropped article marketing and article directories. Then all you have do is multiply this by a few hundreds or even thousands and you have to realize that those article directories must have felt that somehow, already.
As a matter of fact, Hubpages is advertizing for writers, but that doesn’t even prevent them from acting the way they do with people who come and spend time writing for their site.
What can you do. That’s how it is, but frankly I can’t see article directories be around in a few years from now if enough people get tired of them.
By the way, you should not think that you don’t write well enough to post on article directories, I’m sure you can.
Thanks for coming by 🙂
I was writing an article on homemade hair conditioners and wrote ‘best used every two weeks’ and got my article thrown back at me due to plagiarism.
The term they were claiming to be plagiarism was ‘every two weeks’. I wrote back and complained that everyone uses the term ‘every two weeks’. But I had to change it to every 14 days to get it published. Ridiculous.
Rescie invites you to read..Checking out the Wen Hair Care Product Line
Hi Rescie,
Wow, yes it is stupid, indeed, and never head something that crazy.
But this really goes to tell you that you’d better spend your precious time on your own blog, rather than directories going back and force about a stupid sentence that is used millions of times every day!
I didn’t know someone owned the phrase “every two weeks”. LOL!
Hi Sylviane, Yes, I’m very sorry this happened to you, but I like your attitude as a coach. Maybe this is for the best? You never mentioned how much traffic you got from them. Was it a lot?
I tried Ezine when I first started blogging, but then I gave up. They had a rule that you could only use a keyword three times in an article. Well, you try to write an article about the Kindle only using the word “Kindle” three times. Sure, it can be done, but the article reads very strangely, not the sort of writing that I want people to associate with me.
I never got much traffic from Ezine anyway so when I decided not to submit any more articles (after only publishing three there), I wasn’t missing out on much.
When you write for your own site you get control of your content. If you want traffic, head to Triberr.
This may be a blessing in disguise, Sylviane. You can save time messing with Hubpages and develop your own site more instead!
Carolyn invites you to read..Fun Apps to Make You Look Fabulous or Hideous!
Hi Carolyn, and nice seeing you here.
I love the example you give about EzineArticle as it shows how stupid those directory rules really are.
I totally understand what you’re saying. How in the world you’re going to be able to write a 400-600 word article (let’s say) about Kindle and have the word showing ONLY 3 times. That’s impossible.
Few years back I had a cameo niche and they would tell me that I had too many keywords if the word cameo appeared more than 3 times once their new rules came into effect.
I would write them back telling them “how in the world can I write an article about cameos and have the word only 3 times or less? That &#%&* impossible!!! If I did, the article would sound strange as you said. But it was like talking to a wall. So, eventually I dropped it too.
To answer your question, two of my hubpages hubs had good traffic the others not so much. Not a big loss. As a matter of fact, I am starting to get involved with Triberr to bring more traffic to my blogs.
Thanks for your excellent input 🙂
Hi Sylviane,
Really feeling sorry for you and I feel lucky that I’m not using hubpages or for that matter anything over and above my blog.(I’m not very active on FB, use piterest and scoop though). I use them because I’ve to just press the add in that is there on the browser.
If a seasoned writer like you are going through this ordeal, I can imaging what can happen to the naive bloggers like me.
Thanks for this update.

Well, after reading your article, I must use hubpages wisely and I don’t publish a spam content withou using Hubpages anymore. maye I can create unique content for getting more backlinks.
A terrible thing to go through, and I am sorry that the article about your cat was deleted as well. Hubpages is offlimits territory to many and wouldn’t choose to be found there either after hearing lots of tales of woe about this site. Good job alerting people.
Yes, there’re some sad stories out there.
Thanks for coming and sharing your thoughts.
Thank You for posting this. I had the same problem with squidoo and I was considering post with hubpages but now that I\’ve seen this I will give it a miss and just seek guest posting.
Hi Amelia and thank you for coming and commenting here.
You could always give it a try if you wanted to increase your backlinks, but always keep in mind that they are the boss, beause it’s their site. So they can delete your content if they decided that they wanted to. Always backup your content that you post anywhere anyway.
have a great day!
Thanks for the information! I’m currently using blogger platform and I don’t want the same thing to happen to me.
